1. On the form "G-28 Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Represenative" what does one put for the first box?

On the same form next to the "In Re:" what does one put for the "File No?"

I would think the attorney representing the case would know, I mean, isn't that what you're paying them for???

 

In re: would be the subject being represented. I don't know what the file number would be.

1.In Re: Adjustment of Status.

 

2. File # would be the A# to link the case.

 

I don't see the reference to the G-28 come up very often.

 

 

Jie's English is not the best, and I would guess it should be filed if something were to come up through AOS.

It has rarely been mentioned. I don't see where you would need one unless an attorney was involved.

This was my understanding also.

 

I have searched all over the web for a example form, but no luck.

 

CFL search, even after I posted the topic, nothing.

We will file one G-28 for each application. AOS, EAD, AP.

Is it a file # stemed from the office of the attorney?

 

The information I found today, 2003, go figure.

 

States "for all applications, if filing concurently photocopies are acceptable, but why not just file all signed copies. This was from VSC.

Here's what we did, and it seems to have worked ...

File number: I left it blank

 

I checked box #4 and entered: "I am the applicant's step father and sponsor. I am assisting my step daughter in the application process and she has authorized me to act as her representative.

How do I fill out the bottom?:

such as :The above consent to disclosure...following matter:

??? Seems like same answer as checking box #4???....I am the applicants husband and sponsor and she has authorized me to act as her representative?

Name of person consenting? My wife?

Does this only get filed with I-765, I-131, and I-485??? or also with G-325A and I-864 too???

Seems like same answer as checking box #4???....I am the applicants husband and sponsor and she has authorized me to act as her representative?

That would work also.

 

We put "I am the applicats husband, and bear legal resposibility for (applicants name). "

 

Name of person consenting? My wife?

 

That would be the represenative, or you.

 

Does this only get filed with I-765, I-131, and I-485??? or also with G-325A and I-864 too???

 

We only filed one with each application I-485, I-131, and the I-765.

Good questions.

 

Leave the file number blank, USCIS will complete this as they assign the different case numbers.

 

For everything after getting the visa she will be the Applicant because she is applying for AOS and all the rest, during the visa process she is the beneficiary of your application.

 

Yes, your wife would be the consenting person, she is consenting to allow you to represent her.

 

You would want one for each application, I-485, I-131 and I-765. The other documents are supporting evidence.

 

Don't forget to check Item #4 and enter something like "Husband of Applicant".

 

This form is attached on top of each of the applications.
