As you can see your information will help many,... my wife's son is 16 and will turn 18 before being here 2 years. Not sure how this will affect our situation, but at least i have a starting point. He already likes using my last name. The Child Citizenship Act of 2000 option is off the table when he turns 18. His can apply for natualization 5 years after he receives his green card, since his mother must wait for 3 years after her green card to naturalize and can only pass this status to children under 18.
