Today I phoned sara at DOS ; she told me my case was sent to a namecheck dept. for final clearance . Sara said : " they will call us back within ten days for the final word " meaning the dept. that now checking my case . Does anyone have any idea , or been told the same or similar ?

I talked to Sara last month and she just told me my case was still pending. Two weeks later, my gal got the visa pickup EMS.

Panda, I can't say for sure exactly what she may be referring to but here's my guess. Earlier this year when we received our final clearance, I recall that I was informed by CA that our case was cleared and then it was sent to an office for a final "review". I think this is a formality in the namecheck process. In our case, we were cleared but had to be processed through this final "office", which I think was a part of CA. I wouldn't worry if this is the case. I think they just give it a final going over to make sure all the i's are dotted and t's crossed. Keep in mind this is only speculation on my part but that is what happened in our case.

 

BTW: We had EMS in hand within ten days of being told this.
