IluvmyLi
Hello USCONGUZ, If the blue slip is asking for both the beneficiary and the petitioner to provide proof of residence for the ex-husband and ex-wife. Then what other options are available if the ex isn't available or the ex just plain resuses to provide the documents. Is a notarized letter explaining why he or she is unable to provide the required document acceptable? Thank you. Link to comment
USCONGUZ
Dear CFL, The acceptability of alternate documents in lieu of a requested document can only be made on a case-by-case basis. However, in general, if applicants are unable to provide a requested a document, a statement regarding this can be submitted to the Consulate for informational purposes.
