Jono
Due to our rather unusual circumstances, the only requirement we need to satisfy is the name check requirement ... and, surprise, surprise, they use that as an excuse to hold us up for months. We've now been waiting for more than 4 months, or 127 days to be precise ... and there's been no word beyond "it's pending". So, now I'm starting to think about worse case scenarios. How long have these things been known to take? Link to comment

Urkidding
Our government is now allowing name checks on our side for your SO. Apparently there is a new law in place for this and it is causing delays for a lot of K1 applications. Here is a link I read yesterday in our local paper regarding this new law¡ http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/17/us/17bri...amp;oref=slogin Andrew Link to comment

China already has extra oversight as it is. For the GUZ namecheck, some members have had a year or more on this.... I'd say that's worse case scenario. Link to comment
