AOS: I-864 or I-134?

Should K-1 fiance(e) visa applicants use the I-864 or the I-134?

 

Since fiance(e)s are nonimmigrant visa applicants, they should use the I-134.

They will need to submit an I-864 to BCIS when they adjust status to conditional immigrant in the United States after they are married.

I think I-864 is required. What I am not sure is whether the employer letter has a valid period. If not, I could just use my last one used for I-134. My employer must be pretty annoyed if I ask for it every 6 months.

For K1, you can use I-134 for the K1 interview. After you get married, then you need to do I-864 for Adjustment of Status.

 

For K3, you need to prepare I-864 for the K3 interview.
