Cathy
I am new to this site, and am very grateful for USCONGUZ helping us here. This forum is so beneficial that even the NVC lady will recommend it. I have some questions on the supporting documents for a K1 visa. I sincerely wish that USCONGUZ could have time and respond to these questions. I also would like to share the experience on these topics with other members. Q1. Is a US Police Certificate needed for a K1 visa?I read on the 001Forum, which stated that there was no such request because a US Police Certificate was not available in the US. However, I could not find the similar information on the official USCONGUZ website. I am wondering whether it would be required of a US Police Certificate if someone had been to America and stayed there over one year. Q2. Does a US divorce decree meet the requirement of a notarized divorce document? Wish each one find his/her the other half, get married and live happily ever after. USCONGUZ
A U.S. police certificate is not required for any visa classification. A U.S. divorce decree does meet the requirement. The notarized divorce document is a requirement if the divorce took place in China. Link to comment
