My P4 looks wrong too!!!

Finally I got my P4 today. But soon after a short happy time,

I found something looks wrong with this package. Here are

the all I have in my P4 package:

 

1. Appointment letter in English

2. Pkt 4 letter in Chinese

 

3. Appointment Instructions for Immigrant Visa Applicants

(OF-171, in English & Chinese)

4. Requirements for Immigrant Visa Application Photos

(GIV-1, in English & Chinese)

5. Medical examination instructions (GIV-8, in English & Chinese)

6. Important Notice to Immigrant Visa Applicants Concerning

Vaccination Requirements (in English & Chinese)

 

7. Family composition sheet (GIV-24, in English-Chinese)

 

8. DS-230 II (in English, 2 copies)

 

9. Medical examination for immigrant or refugee applicant

(DS-2053, in English-Chinese, 2 copies)

10. Chest X-ray and classification worksheet

(DS-3024, in English & Chinese, 2 copies)

11. Vaccination documentation worksheet

(DS-3025, in English & Chinese, 2 copies)

My case is K1. I read some posts on CFL today and found

there are other 2 guy's fiancees had the same problem with

their P4 too. Well, isn't it a bit unusual that 3 of us all received

the wrong P4 packages? So far, it seems those people whose

cases are K3 got the right P4. What happened to our K1 cases?

 

I AM WONDERING IF GZ CONSULATE HAVE THE DIFFERENT P4

TO K1 CASE NOW?!

 

So, what I can do is to download those missed forms from GZ

Consulat's website ?! Anybody can give me any suggestions?!

We are also K1 and my SO received her Packet 4 on Sunday, 7/2. I do not have a list of everything in the packet, but here are some of the things she has already mentioned: DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157, GIV-24, GNI-2, and I-134. She did not mention the DS-230, Part II and I'm sure she would have. Looks like she got the real Packet 4. I think an e-mail to GUZ should get you the missing items and, in the meantime, they are here for download.

I got exactly the same thing you did. Yes indeed it is wrong!!!! I have writen Guangzhou and email telling them of their error and I request that they immediately send the correct documents. They are on a spree these days.......Charles

You can download the DS-156 & DS-157 in both English and Chinese from http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/vi...ation_form.html, and the DS-156k from http://foia.state.gov/FORMS/visa/ds0156k.pdf

 

You will need to have Adobe PDF reader installed on your computer.

 

Also, when you go to the medical exam they normally have the forms available.

not only because of the mistake they already made but also because

I am worrying about what if those forms that I have got are the wrong

one too?! I told my fiance that I really want to go to US consulate

and take those forms back in person. We will write to them now

and hope they can have time to read our emails tomorrow when they

go back to work.

Thank you for your response, Lee. :-) It was very happy to me to know your wife's son got his visa (I was working in Chaozhou city for a test at that time, and my fiance told me the good news from you).

I will try to download those missed forms now and start to work with them, But still I wish the consulate could send me the correct P4 as soon as them can.

I am used to use PDF form filler to fill all of my forms in English, but this time I have to fill those forms in Chinese, my PDF form fillers seems doesn't allow me to do that, do you know if it is the possible to fill forms in Chinese with PDF form filler? Thanks for your help.:-)

Please try to not feel down. The whole visa process for me started in april 2005 and I am still waiting. I have not made any mistakes with the paperwork but the consulates makes many mistakes. I had to have my senator help me a lot. I also wrote a letter to the USA president and they followed up with a phone call to me. The USA govenment really wants to do good but sometimes their people make many mistakes. I believe they are poorly trained. We need to be smart and patient and look everything they do very closely. There are many good people on this website that have much information. My fiancee's interview date is august 28 so I have time for the gz consulate to correct their mistake. Hang in there, happiness is around the corner:)
