I am going in June to marry SO and I know I need to get marriage certificate translated can anyone tell me where they were able to have this done and how long it takes? It will be the same place you obtain notarial birth certificate and divorce decree, if applicable. Link to comment

Thanks,Rick & Liyan208257[/snapback]It is an requirement must that the Chinese applicant provide translated notarial certificates together with the translator's certification that the translation conforms to the original Chinese copy. Also be aware that some notarial documents have a one year shelf life (police clearances and single certificates). Ask you SO which Chinese notary office will perform this task , they usually provide the translations also and notary services. Send her/him .jpg images of the certicifate. Request a something in writing that the translator is certified to do this stuff. I got it done in under ten days for $30. Send INS copies of the originals (Chinese) and the English translations. Had no problems. Bruce Link to comment
