Now I'm really confused

This pertains to CR1, not K3

 

I'm trying to figure out where we are in the process. I was just looking in the FAQS.

 

The other night I called NVC, they told me they had received the DS3032, and the VISA FEE BILL was in the mail. Is this the P3? Or at least part of it. I have already sent in the I864, they said it is still being processed. When will we need the Notorial certificate of birth.

The FAQ [i'm glad to say] agrees with richards comments.. P3 is downstream:

 

If you are going strictly with the I-130:

-- The NVC would have sent you and your wife a DS3032 (also known as a Choice of Agent Doc).

-- This must be signed by your wife and returned by her before the NVC will proceed.

-- Then they send you an Affidavit of Support Fee Bill, and freeze everything until your check clears the bank.

-- Then they ask for your Immigrant fee bill (around $xxx). Again, freeze frame until the check clears.

-- After that you get the P3, assuming your wife has named you agent of choice in the DS3032.

-- Send that back, and get P4 and invitation.

Notarial certificates (birth, police) are needed at the interview...

Think obx can confirm the PRESENT fee. We got tagged an extra $45 at interview time- some of it for the IV fee, some for the I-864 increases.

Seems like I had a chashiers check for $70 made to send in for the 864. The "visa fee bill " is supposedly in the mail to me.

Yeah, I had the visa fees and AOS fees for the CR1 and CR2 arrive at the same time ($900.00 OUCH!), about 3 week before the P3 arrived.
