Am4wag
K-1......Gathering neccessary paperwork to send my SO for interview.Should I hand write the afidavits/statements?Cursive or print?Blue or black? Link to comment
LeeFisher3
The only afadavit for a K-1 is the I-134 and at the top of the form it tells you to type it or Print in Black ink. I would follow their instruction. Any statements such as a re-affirmation of the relationship would probably best be typed and signed in black ink as well. If you can't type them then definately print clearly. Link to comment
david_dawei
There are urban like-legends at VJ telling of someone getting an RFE for signing in black ink.. and they stated it looked too much like a photocopy.. so some over-reacted and started advising to sign in blue ink !! Others were saying to 'press hard' during signing and leave an indentation... Just follow Lee's comments ! What I do for any form that wants a name (anyones name), is to put the last name in ALL Capitals to ensure a visual distinguishing of the name parts. Here is where you can look for forms: Q.2.2 Where can I see sample forms? A.2.2.1 Initial Application for K1/K3 & CR1 USCIS:http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/index.htm http://uscis.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/scnational/index.htm A.2.2.2DOS:http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/forms/forms_1342.html A.2.2.3 Non-USCIS sites Fillable Forms:http://www.visapro.com/INS-Forms-Download.asp Visa Journey:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...&page=downloads Samples on Visa Journey:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...m&page=examples CFL:http://home.comcast.net/~~donahso/index.htm Edited February 22, 2006 by DavidZixuan (see edit history) Link to comment

obxtrainman
I have been a government employee for over 20 years. I read it as black ink. Since for the last 20 years of my life, I ensure I only carry a black ink pen, I would say use only black ink. Link to comment
