NEVER do that, but rather do as he's suggested. Also, there are times that it's necessary to make a correction to a completed form. If you find yourself in this situation, do the following: 1. Draw a SINGLE LINE through the portion of text requiring correction. Only one line. NEVER EVER obliterate the text underneath. Make sure it's still legible. 2. Write in the correction, above, below, or where it may fit. 3. Write your initials and date next to the correction. This is considered the standard for making corrections for all government and legal documents. While making a correction may at times be necessary, it's better to complete a new form if possible.
