Chinese Characters for Address

I had read about and was prepared today with the telegraphic codes for my wife and daughter names. I also reproduced the Chinese characters.

 

What surprised me was the request for the address in Chinese characters. Is this required?

this form wants name, telegraphic code and address, all three in chinese... that's what it says...

 

Since my wife received this, she simply filled it out and returned it...

If you want to send something to China, it makes sense that the name and address are written in Chinese. Name and address in English can get lost.

Yeah. I've never had problems sending her letters with just PinYin. She has sent the address to me and I'm planning on cutting and pasting the text onto the forms.

It's not clear why you have the form and she was not sent it for filling out? Why not send it to her ?

 

But, if I were to do it myself, I would either:

1) harder method: Bring the file [in Don's area] into a graphic program and type in or cut/paste from emails... fill out rest of form

2) easier method: Print the chinese onto a paper [from email], cut out around the paper and tape to the form.. fill out rest of form... make a copy of form.

 

just make sure it is legible... their probably using that for sending the P4...

It was sent to the attorney, we're CR1/CR2, inside the P3. I'm planning on doing #2, print out the characters (she sent them and re-confirmed them) and paste the paper strips onto the forms.
