Wrong birthplace on wife's G325, CR1 inteview soon

well thanks for the advice... after talking to some people and hearing your advice, i think its much ado about nothing. my wife will just explain it at the interview if it comes up.

 

i hope that they will not turn us away because of an honest mistake and a difference of 20 miles between one city line and the next.

At this point I would let it slide and have her be prepared to explain your mistake at interview if it should come up. Chances are it won't. Submitting additional updates this late in the game might trigger additional security checks and a delayed interview. Just make sure she filled out the DS-230 correctly

I agree with Carl.. the petition was approved and GUZ seems more concerned with their forms.

 

You could call DOS and ask them what they suggest at this point...

It shouldn't be a problem. My wife was born in Leshan, but her offical place of birth is ChongQing. On the G325 I put Leshan, but on later forms put ChongQing. She didn't have any problems because of it.

I agree with all of you that it shouldn't pose a problem but more importantly, USCONGUZ appears to agree too! In the latest post by USCONGUZ, it is stated,
