Meidon
On the GIV-24 question#5 it states "Petitioner:When/how did petioner enter U.S.? Type of Visa? "A" Number? I asked someone about this and they told me to put "Petition for fiance visa k-1 and my SO's A number" I just spoke to my SO and she say all 001 girls tell her to put my information there. I tell her it is wrong because GIV-24 sheet is for her, and they want information about her. She say document also have my information. After talking to a member here the conclusion was that this question is for people with other visa types. What is the correct answer ......besides she has never been to USA. Link to comment
mlspyl
Meidon: I am helping my wife to complete the GIV-24 also for her interview. As other have stated on CFL, and I will do also; if you the petitioner were born in the USA , then complete with the statement: U.S. citizen by birth or words to this effect. And later in the GIV-24 form, question 7 is for the petitioner (you). So your wife must list you, your parents, and your brother and sisters for this question. Mark Link to comment
frank1538
I have always used the rule that the USC is the petitioner and your foreign SO is the applicant. I agree with mlspyl. Something like "Petitioner is a US citizen by birth" should cover it. Link to comment
amerchin
That section is to see if you were also an immigrant and became a citizen. If you were born in the US then just state that. Link to comment
