jim_julian
Hmmm ... I'm beginning to think that there are all sorts of variations of Chinese visas available, to include things not listed on the Chinese Embassy/Consulate websites. Link to comment
lucaskeli
I've gotten a 1 year multiple entry visa twice. The first time I only had a fiance', but they let me have it. The 2nd time they asked for a copy of my marriage certificate. Both times I was at the Chinese consulate, one in San Francisco, and one in Houston. Link to comment
obxtrainman
I just received my passport back today, I should have had it Sat. according to the orange notice I recieved friday. Somehow I'm not surprised my mailman screwed this one up too. Anyhow, the first "L Visa" I applied for had a 90 day, single entry, 30 day duration. This one is good for 6 months, single entry, 30 day duration. It is the same thing as I applied for back in December. This time I included a good quality copy of our wedding book translation. I have no idea if it had an affect on the three month difference. Edited October 24, 2005 by obxtrainman (see edit history) Link to comment

tywy_99
In 2002, all I needed to do was send in my passport and 30 bucks to the Chinese embassy in DC to get the visa. Oh, and an extra 5 spot for S&H.Then Bush started the VISIT thing and upsetted the Chinese. The Chinese retaliated by ending the mail-in service. The next visa I got, I had to hire a travel agency and pay $150!... Link to comment
ameriken
Hello all. I am planning to visit China to see my SO in November, December, March and then June. I am wondering is there any easy way to get a multiple entry visa for China. It seems I have to get a single entry each time--somewhat expensive and a hassle. The Chinese embassy here has been less than helpful. Thanks,162006[/snapback]I used a pay service that gets the visa for you if you are not near an embassy (passport needs to be hand delivered to the embassy). She was very helpful and friendly and I intend to use her service again.
