Eric&Yuhui
I won't be one of them though...but if you do... Take a copy , or even better, a scan, of the identity/ photo page before sending the passport to the consulate. Then copy / scan the K visa page when you get in back. Heaven forbids something happens, up to the time fiancee are leaving China, but ...It's muuuch easier this way to replace or track than just having a scribbled passport number left.I know this by experience with the heavy int'l travel I do.I actually once rented a car in Norway with a color scan of my driver license ( print laminated ) as I had left the original and very official license 3 days before at an Avis counter in frankfurt..Otherwise, no car for me. I always carry a computer file of my passports and license.. Just my thoughts on trying to tell Murphy to get lost.. Granted, you can't cross the border with a scan copy of a lost passport , but you get the general idea Link to comment
