However, it may have been in "customs clearance" for awhile (the GUZ won't accept a package until tey're ready for it). Go to the GUZ email website GUZ email and inquire as to the status of your application. I'll bet you are "waiting for interview to be scheduled", and will be notified in the next few weeks - unless you fell into "name check hell". They will not give you any information other than that (unless there is something specific about your case). The GUZ can request an FBI name check, which would throw your case into a lengthy (2 month to 1 year or more) delay. Good luck Link to comment
Guest Gene
Welcome Aboard Email Guangzhou like Randy said, they usually respond pretty quick. You can also call The Department of State 1-202-663-1225 push the right buttons until you reach a human, give them your GUZ number, SO's name and birthdate and they will tell you the status of your file. Randy W
Not surprising - the GUZ will not accept a package until they are ready to process it. In the meantime, it shows a status of 'not recived', even though either it is still at DHL, or the Swan Hotel, simply waiting for someone to take a look. The DOS only knows what has been entered into the GUZ' computer, but will often pass along that information sooner than the GUZ will. The 'months' figure is a standardized response. Hang in there, and grab a bag of Cheetos! Link to comment
