Mengxin
Well you can sort of see it from space. I did a search for Satellite photography of China on the NASA website. It pulled up some really incredible photos. It pulled up about 35 in all, here's my top 3. Hope you have broadband, some of these baby's are about 9M. http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/search.cgi http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images...s010e13807.htmlShenyang, China is featured in this image photographed by an Expedition 10 crewmember on the International Space Station (ISS). The city of Shenyang is China’s sixth largest city with a population of over 4 million residents in the urban core. http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/station/crew-10/thum/iss010e13807.jpg http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images...s010e08497.htmlThis picture, apparently the first verifiable photo showing the Great Wall of China from low earth orbit, was taken by International Space Station Commander Leroy Chiao. Chiao used a digital still camera with a 400mm lens when he snapped the photo... http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/station/crew-10/thum/iss010e08497.jpg http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images...68-220-033.htmlPhotographed through the Space Shuttle Endeavour's flight deck windows, this 70mm frame shows a small section of China's Yellow River (Huang Ho) highlighted by sunglint reflection off the surface of the water.http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/shuttle/sts-68/thum/sts068-220-033.jpg Link to comment

The resolution in Beihai is pretty good. Not quite good enough to make out houses, but good enough to locate Yue's neighborhood. I though they had China mostly covered. Here I can see my neighbor's car. Link to comment
