**K1 visa fees only K1'S post in this thread

Recommended Posts

The information I got today applies to K1 visa's only not cr1's, I didnt ask about cr1's.

I called DOS this morning and she told me the complete breakdown on K1 visa fees:

1. 165USD Petition fee (paid when you submitted your petition)

2. 100USD paid at a designated bank by GUZ for interview application.

This MUST be paid prior to interview! and MUST be paid prior to medical exam!

you must bring this receipt with you to the hospital and GUZ for interview.

I asked DOS "Ok...so this 100USD pays the application fee?, how much is the Visa?" she replied "the 100USD application fee actually pays for the visa".

3. Pay the hospital 800RMB fee and/or pay the express service fee of 100RMB.

4. The hospital MUST see the appointment letter and receipt of BOTH the visa fee and the medical exam fee

5.At GUZ....SO must pay 45USD for special processing and fingerprinting fee

6. SO must bring both the visa fee receipt and the sealed medical envelope to interview.

This is all confirmed by DOS as of Aug 09 2005.

some of you can help by calling DOS and making a post to this thread as to what the DOS operator tells you on these fees.

You will have to pay the visa fee for the children as well as for the mother when the time comes.

The children will need a physical, the same as the mother when the time comes. Medical fees vary.
