I was so complete when filing my I-129F and included everything......I thought.....I have all the paperwork and a letter of intent from me, but I did not include one from her. Will this be a problem?

No.  I only submitted one from myself. No issue through with petition approval.

Phewwww, good to hear David. Before finding this site I was using a very good book Marriage and Finace Visas; 2nd Edition by Hona Bray.

In it, the author discusses completing all forms but only talked of sending one letter from the petitioner, which I did. The I-129F instructions however make it sound like two are needed.

Now mind you, that this is in lieu of me sending photos of us together, telephone records, copies of email etc. So, there was plenty of evidence that we had not only met but were planning doing this.

I was just driving home freaking out that I might get an RFE requesting this letter.....

this has been debated at VJ as well... some argue that it's fine to send one from petitioner only (obviously since too many have done that without any issue), but then go on to argue that this generic letter is needed later from the beneficiary...

This doesn't seem logical since the beneficiary will get in the P4 a consulate supplied form to be sworn and signed at the consulate, for "Intent to Marry".. you can see our file locations to see the form.

The bottom line is, if it is needed later, then it is easy to secure in china since she is there, and if it is required. I only bring this up since I recall someone saying that at the medical exam, they argued to the lady that she needed one for the packet they put together of paperwork and the lady argued against it, etc.

Yes, agreed David. It's during the latter stages of the petition that the Beneficiary is addressed directly. I certainly will be finding out if the Government has a problem not having a Letter of Intent from both of us in the coming days, but the fact that many have been successful without one, accompanied by the logic makes sense.... :D :D
