Jfong988
Hi, I attempting to fly out of Boston for Hong Kong this coming Saturday however, the airlines are so packed that right now I'm on a waiting list. I would really love to leave this Saturday but that is dependent on if I can get a ticket for a reasonable price. I'm hoping to get a flight from Boston for about $1,400. Technically speaking you can avoid the waiting list but then the fare jumps to $5,000+ Any suggestions on flight options??? Thanks. Link to comment
david_dawei
An interesting piece of advice from one member has been to go into the closest Chinatown and inquire of a few travel agents... I think with the last minute issues you have, might as well try it in boston... If you do this, would be curious to know how it turns out... Link to comment

frank1538
As suggested, try a west coast gateway. Getting to LAX or SFO from Boston should be relatively easy. I've done this from Atlanta, using Airtran to get to LAX and connecting to an overseas flight from there. Link to comment

If you try to book them you will probably find that they are not available. Link to comment

If there is a caption that says contact the airline to purchase they are the flights that probaly doesnt have any seats. But if it says Select in the top left corner then there are seats. tonyontherock
It is the timing. I tried to get my son over to HK direct from NYC area. No seat. But able to get him to fly into Beijing. Do try a flight from west coast into HK or in the alternative into Guangzhou. My in-laws got in with a round trip from San Francisco and three nights hotel for 800 something. Link to comment

I did some homework, before posting, a few of the referenced airlines had no seats available at the low prices Link to comment
