I-797C from Chicago ?????

Guess I should not be surprised. Here in Portland everything was okay with filing and processing AOS fairly quick. Now, you send the forms into Chicago Lockbox or directly to the facility if, like I did, you send it second day air by courrier. Did that so it would be easy to track, get there quick and force them to sign for it.

 

So send it off to Chicago and who is the receipt from, Chicago? No, no, no. The receipt has a MSC number. Guess they need to spread the wealth around. Slow the processing down by sending the application several different places.

 

Well, now it says the next step is to schedule Fingerprinting and Biometrics. Gives an 800 number to call. Called the number and after several layers of press this if, press that if, it tells me to call back and speak to a rep between 8am and 6PM, but doesn't say if the Support Center is PST, MST, CST ro EST. I assume they are EST so I will call first thing tomorrow.

 

Anyway, I guess this is the start of AOS through Chicago.

At the time we filed for AOS, we sent the forms to the local office, but we still ended up with an MSC number.
