Don't have the notarized marrige license anymore

I did a dfc and when i did i turned the notarized marriage license over to them, and i dont have it anymore, do you know if the officer will have the file?

Will i need to get it replaced?

I never send the originals. Always send the copy and provide a statement the original is available upon request.

 

When I got my translated and notarized marriage certificate, I got 3 of them. It seems to be the standard number of copies given by China's notary and translation office.

 

You may want to ask the embassy if they can make a copy and send you the originals.

 

If I were you, I would get another set of notarized translated documents - 3 copies. It should cost equivalent of U$D 20 - 25, if done in China. They are good lifelong keepsakes, or for as long as the marriage which hopefully will be lifelong and makes great family treasure for the kids and grandkids.
