yave20b
I'm looking over the Clark County Marriage Bureau Web site here today getting ready to order my CERTIFIED marriage certificate. We were married in Vegas. Their Web site offers certified marriage abstracts and certified marriage certificates. The odd thing is they say the abstracts are what the government agencies usually require while the certificates are what lesser entities usually require. But my understanding is for AOS they want a "copy of your marriage certificate" as quoted from the I-485 instructions. "Marriage certificate"...not abstract, correct? And while I'm on it because it says they want "copies" for the birth certificates and marriage certificates I assume they mean "photocopies" of the actual certified birth certificates and marriage certificates, right?? Not the originals? Original certified copies of birth certificates from China are not easy to come by as we all know. Link to comment
cosmiclobster
Yave: We are heading out to sin city to tie the knot in 13 days. My plan was to get at least 2 certified copies of the marriage certificate when we get married, knowing that the AoS will need one. Maybe we should get 3 copies?!? Link to comment
Guest Gene
Yes " Photocopies of the Original" is what they want. Link to comment
