Passport name change

Does anybody know if Chinese wife should change her passport name to same as mine, will this help at the interview???

Actually they don't give out a new pp but just put a stamp on a visa page showing the change of name. Same when it is renewed - a stamp showihg the new expiration date.

But she could "get [a new] one" if she wanted ?? but seems quite troublesome to do compared to the stamp. Good info on the stamp.

I guess you could make a special request but I will bet it will cost more $ and you would need a new picture. I don't think it would be worth the trouble.

I like to take the easy road.. I was just asking. For myself, Zixuan's keeping her name...

 

The only change I'd consider was me taking her last [family] name !!

 

Around China I was introduced to everyone that way, and ever since, that is how Zixuan addresses me.. I've gotten use to it and like it...

Ok, another dumb questions, when my wife uses up all her visa pages on her passport, do they issue new one like some countries do, or do they just add pages like US does.

 

We'll be traveling some before the green card arrives, and could have the problem of running out of pages in her passport. Seems everyplace she goes she needs a full page visa addition.

Why not call the consulate and ask?
