  1. Don't worry - on the old-style trains, it's recoverable - from the Shanghaiist Woman manages to recover her iPhone after accidentally dropping it down toilet on train It's a true miracle!
  2. Hello!! I am thinking about getting a new smartphone. I have a Galaxy S6 edge. Normally I get a subsidized phone from AT&T every 2 years.. Since they don't do that anymore it looks like I will have to pay full price for a new phone. Don't really plan on spending 800-100 USD for a new fancy phone. Any suggestions on a new phone that is good but cheap? Perhaps 200-300 USD. Thanks for any suggestions. Danb
  3. Skype Vanishes From App Stores in China, Including Apple’sNot completely blocked yet. Before, you could add money to your balance through the Apple Store, for example. Would seem that now they need to go through the web site. Anyway, once it returns, you have to wonder what Microsoft had to do to make it compliant.
  4. If you've seen the headlines as in the WSJ - Beijing Regulator Orders Apple to Stop Sales of Two iPhone Models The author points out “I could probably secure a China design patent on the blue socks I am wearing right now.” http://www.chinalawblog.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/110/2016/06/Blue_sock-320x271.jpg from the China Law Blog China’s Design Patent Scourge Has Snared Apple: Nobody Panic
  5. Hello again. A couple of questions. I was looking at the iPad AIr 2 ( Model: MGKL2LL/A). Staples has them on sale for $459. Is that a good price? It has 64 gig of memory. I am a windows and android type of guy. I was thinking about getting one for my Lao Po for use in China. Don't know much about Apple products. My Lao Po on the other hand is a fan of Apple products. It is a little amazing to me how much and how well and how quickly she has grown attached to the Apple products. Will it be difficult to use an iPad Air in China? Will we have any problems getting it programmed? Also I was trying to figure what color to get. White, black or golden (new color). Any suggestions or thoughts? Danb
