  1. I understand how it works (EP). My main concern is this (and it's twofold); firstly, I have a strong belief that the NVC may not receive all evidence from the initial submittal of the I-130. Secondly, I have a strong belief that if the NVC were to receive everything, personnel will take the time to scan everything into the system. I have already been told that doubling down with the frontloading (i.e. including evidence with the DS-230) could cause a delay at NVC. However, to ensure that a CO sees everything, this is something I'm willing to accept. I'm not willing to accept the possibility of having no evidence accompany the file. Granted, my wife will not be going to the Consulate empty handed, but I (and others here also) tell people all the time that the interview is not the place to submit evidence for the first time.
  2. (Regarding the IR-1 visa for my wife's daughter, over 21 unmarried) We got the I-130 approved, then also got the Change of Agent form sent in, along with the fees for the DS-230 and I-864 (they show paid as of October 20th). Will we be getting a paper package in the mail for the DS-230? Or is this all done online now? Also, how long do we have to send in the DS-230 and I-864? The reason I ask is that this all happened suddenly. I guess we thought it would be another year before a slot came available for my wife's daughter. As a result we are not where we would like to be with the I-864. We have thought that our situation might be improving later so we have considered waiting on sending in the apps. I see that there is a general statement on NVC e-mails, "If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process." Does that mean we have a year from October 14th (when we got our first correspondence from the NVC) to send in the apps? Thanks!
  3. Hi, just wondering how long is the police certificate good for after it gets notarized? I am applying for a CR-1, its there enough time to use it between sending it to the NVC and submitting it at the interview? Thanks

Her passport number 2). her name, both in Chinese and pin yin, her birthdate and ID number which are on her passport 3). Member comments: “NVC does not tell you the day DHL picked up your package. They may say, it was sent on a certain day but we cannot be certain that date matches the DHL pickup day. I suggest you track packages a week before and after the date you are given and use both references. You only need reference, date and destination tariff point to make sure you're seeing packages from NVC to GUZ.” Also see: DHL Tracking http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21349 How to trace the CR paperwork on DHL http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21193 [editor's notes:] Attempting to track DHL shipments to the consulate can never really give you an exact status of the package. It is recommended that you follow the timeline averages and call DOS at the time the case is expected to be with the consulate.
