I have a few questions on this, us the current price still 55.00 plus the 5.00 service fee, and do they take the photos at the consulate, last time they did not like the ones we had and they sent us to a photo place as they did not do the photos there at the time but have read that people have had them taken there? Thanks in advance..

I've never had a problem going in...it's coming out that can be tricky.
I imagine if you packed a gun, a few grenades and radio transmitters they'd be all over you like stink on pooh...but otherwise they haven't seemed to care. I always declare everything going in; I play dumb coming back...mostly because I haven't a clue what the wife has in the bags
No comment, you about said it all yourself.

Why not just find a airbrush artist and get them to do one similar for 40 or 50 bucks and be done with it?

you cant beat a good carbon steel wok. Now that I said that Lusheng has used it only 3 or 4 times in 9 years lol lol, she prefers the old cast iron skillet we have. When we went out shopping for a new stove many moons ago I picked on from Sears that came with a wok ring for the burner, hell I may slap her around a bit tonight and make her use the damn thing!!

I don't really care that much about the soy milk other than it makes my wife happy but the pressure cooker makes the best ribs I have ever eaten.
I make the best ribs that you have never eaten, I know its a pretty bold statement but it's true

Your wife is a artist and a damn good one at that. I would think about the next level for her even though she is already there.

Many Chinese men love gambling, and any Chinese woman that was married to one of these men will hate gambling.
Chinese women that have not been married to the aforementioned Chinese man will moderately like to gamble with small amounts of money.
My wife hates gambling so you can guess what classification her first husband fell into.
Women gamble too they aint all saints, ask Nytimes lol?

Damn and I was just starting to like him too

When World War 2 broke out after Pearl Harbor attack on the US. The US rounded up many Japanese-Americans and put them into internment camps. During the war the 442 regiment was made up of Japanese-American men that fought bravely in Europe. They wanted to prove they where Americans and loyal to the US. The 442 was the most decorated regiment in World War 2.
When 9-11 hit us we should have rounded up and put these people in internment camps. We didn't. I mean profilling is incorrect today. I would like to see how many of these people would have rose to the occasion to defend America as the Nisei did in WW2.
This abnormal enity has sworn death to America and all the of the West and Christianity. For nearly 1300 years their culture and secular beliefs has been stagnant and has produced millions of vagabonds with hate for all mankind.
You just may get you wish if we ever go to war with China.

So u picked Super Saver over Coffee, I dint see Coffee on the sheet?

Sort of a boring story here, it would be better if he would have taken a head shot before he made it home base.

The fastest sport in two minutes will be on tomorrow in Louisville, Ky.
Looking at Lucky is the odds favorite as of now. Last year a longshot Mine that Bird at 50-1 won the the Roses by 7 lengths. Is a another longshot in the making at Churchill Downs?
Lusheng has accused me of being the fastest finisher in 2 minutes?
-
After a while being here I have found that there are 2 sides to the stories told here, sometimes 3 or 4 sides.
-
I love CFL, people are watching out for Rob and Jin and they dint even know it until a few posts ago . Damn I may start a tread I have been thinking about. Now, if I kill Lusheng and the twins do you guys think I can get probation or not? That premetateded stuff is tricky.

Another link from NY Times discussing Ameican companies (especially in the clean energy sector) moving to China for R&D and manuf.
This is one of the justifications given by the American companies:
American companies are drawn to China for its expanding market, and its large pool of cheap, highly skilled engineers.
The good ones cost the same and in some cases more than an American engineer. The cheap and highly skilled are two words that do not go together.
Xi'an, in central China, has 47 universities and other institutions of higher education. In China, engineers with a master's degree can be hired for $730 a month.
That is about 5,000 RMB per month and BS. Besides that they have the degree on paper. What they actually learned, if they even went, is a whole different story.
http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2010/03/1...h-ss_index.html
I hear that. Chinese university education is highly dubious. One night, while Spring Cleaning, my wife came across a box of my old college books.
Keep in mind for the remainder of this story: My wife has two Bachelors degrees and a Masters.
She was amazed at the size of the books. "What is this? Do Americans use one book for their whole college or something?"
"No," I replied, "Each of those represents one semester."
"You mean six months?"
"Three months."
"OMG! Do you do the whole book?"
"Usually. But sometimes a professor will skip a chapter or two."
"That's crazy! In China and Japan, the book is about this thick," here she indicates a width of about three-eighths of an inch, "And we only really finish about half of it."
What I find to be the major difference between Eastern and Western education (true of China, Korea, India, and Japan. Mostly China, and a lot less India, but a little bit India), is that Western education focuses on problem solving and self reliance. Eastern education is based mostly on "In this situation do that. Now practice doing it so you can do it really fast."
I remember my organic chemistry final at GMI. They gave me a cup of clear liquid, a lab, and 45 minutes and said, "Figure out what this stuff is. The answer will be 45% of your grade. Go." (Mine turned out to be a propyl alcohol).
Japanese and Chinese engineers I've met didn't take organic chemistry. Folks from India and Korea took it, but there was no lab. My theory is that, the powers that be in some of these countries want to have technical people who don't think for themselves.
Just think: In the West, 60% of people who enter college don't finish. In the East, it's harder to get in to college, but if you get in, you pretty much finish.
And no, as long as we have sufficient domestic capacity, even if we become economically isolated, I will still have some Salad Sprinkles.
The last time I saw any figures it was 24% only finish their 4 year degree
