  1. PJ, I know... it's been a long time... but.. I saw your post and wanted to give you my experience with that first hand. POOPOO OCCURS - Immigration realizes that. For different reasons than yours, I had a previous fiance also (PI) and things didnt work out. I answered that question honestly and as you know, my lovely wife has been here since Jan. So don't sweat it - each question on Gov. form creates 3 jobs - Kevin
  2. PJ, If you would like, you can have Candle hosted by my company free of charge (same place where Visadelays is hosted). It serves a great purpose, but no reason it should cost you money. Let me know.
  3. No, I still have that flowchart on my wall. It serves as a reminder on how lucky I am to have my wife here finally...it will probably stay up until it dry rots As far as any advice - I wish I could offer some. But to be honest, I am not as well versed in the current situation as most of you.
  4. Sorry all - my crack network guy pooched the webserver - that is why visadelays was down for a bit - it's back up now. I also got the candle post links back online. On another note things are great with my wife and I... I hope all of you find success soon!! - Kevin
  5. This reporter contacted me again looking for k1 peeps from Illinois. So if you're from Illinois - email her.
  6. I got this at visadelays.com: My name is Colleen Mastony. I'm a reporter for the Chicago Tribune and I'm interested in doing a story about K-1 visa delays. Can you put me in touch with people in Chicago or Illinois who are experiencing this problem? Feel free to pass my contact information to anyone who might be willing to talk to me. I'd appreciate any help you could offer. Please give me a call, Colleen Mastony Chicago Tribune 847-755-8921 *** She has asked that only people in her area give her a call.
  7. My fiance Yan will be here on the 15th (jan). When she left her company, she gave a formal resignation and a 30 day notice. She told me that a 30 day notice was standard for "white-collar" jobs in China.
  8. A friend of mine, a gal in the Philippines is married to a US citizen. They have been trying to get her visa since last October. Her petition is still at the INS. Since I learned alot about getting things done in the immigration process lately, I volunteered to help her and her husband as much as I could. The husband provided me his last receipt number from the INS so I looked up his case on their new online status system. It said they expected their wait to be another 500 - 600 days. Folks, this is just to get out of the INS, this doesnt include the embassy processing time in Manila OMG!!! When I read that I almost fell out of my seat!!! I know I'm singing to the chior here, and I myself waited a year to get Yan here... but imagine your INS processing time taking that long. I am on a crusade now...my mission is to help this poor couple get this done!

  12. Hmm... ok, how about "KandY-MoreBlueThanJim"? and I would also like to have the ability to delete some of Jim posts (just to lower his blue thingy count)
  13. PJ - I would like mine changed to KandY-theUberSuperAdvancedUser-BetterThanJim Thanks
  14. No, but I can say Neigh Heigh! is that like a grape neigh?
  15. Jim, Exactly! I really felt that way when they kept poking me in the stomach and grabbed my cheeks!
