Problems with police certificate
Tong and Wei replied to NUWORLD's topic in Consulate Process: P-3 ~ Interview
There are a few ways to do this. 1. Have employer issue a statement and take it to public notary service(Gong Zheng Chu) to be translated and certified. I'm not sure if the consulate will accept it because it isn't issued by police office. 2. Go to police office (the office that has your Hu Kou) and aks them issue one and then get it certified. 3. In Beijing, the notary service has a standard form that the police can fill it out and stamp then the notary service will translate and certify what the police filled in the form. -

I see what you mean. I think it is a typo or someone didn't set the clock right. -

Did you enter the first 3 letters? You have to enter them before the 10 digits. -
Qurestion about K1, k3 and CR1
Tong and Wei replied to Tong and Wei's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
What is the difference between "name check" and "administravive prcessing"? -
I understand K visa is different from CR1 at NVC. But after the petition arrives at GUZ, is the process of k1, k3 or CR1 different from each other? If yes, what's the difference? Do all of three need name check? When actually does name check start, at GUZ or at NVC? Although I started my journey a couple of monthes ago, I'm still new to the procedure. Please forgive me for my dummy questions. Thanks for your help!

Police Certificate
Tong and Wei replied to Tong and Wei's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
Thanks for your replies. After I read your responds and all threads, I'm still not clear about one thing. If currently one's "hukou" is in Beijing but he lived in his hometown for a number of years before moved to Beijing, his hometown(police dept and prior employer) now is refusing to issue the record due to absence of "hukou", what can I do? Is the notaried certificate from Beijing good enough for the interview? Does Guangzhou consulate buy it? Or do I have to get one from the hometown? Anyone has the experience? Could you please share your story with me? Any advise or suggestion is highly appreciated. -
Hi all, I have a question in general. Is it hard to get the police certificate from police department? What the procedure in China do I have to follow to get it from where I live? Thanks!

I129F touched 5 times in a row
Tong and Wei replied to Tong and Wei's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
You said 5 times in a row, does that mean 5 days in a row the website was updated? I was "touched" last week, but nothing since. I've been checking everyday since.... but David told me to sleep like I do everyday... I've been trying to do that Yup. Since transferred to VSC on 11/9, the update date has been changing everyday this week. Look my timeline. -
Hopefully I won't receive an email asking for REF!

Which one gets name check, CR1 or Ks? BTW, what does IMBRA refer to? Thanks.

Tong and Wei replied to Tong and Wei's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
I'm very glad to hear this. Thanks! -
Just received 5 emails from USCIS one minute ago saying "On November 9, 2006, we transferred your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) to an office in VERMONT SERVICE CENTER for processing. Our office in VERMONT SERVICE CENTER will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office." Good or bad?
