  1. Can I put them in a single sum of $395 on a single check payable to Home land Security Department?
  2. Did you list your stepdaughter as the "principal immigrant" in her separate I-864? The current I-864 (Rev. 11/01/06) listed on th USCIS website is different from the I-864 (Rev. 11/05/01) I filed for my stepdaughter but the current I-864, you would show your stepdaughter as the "principal immigrant", afterall, the form is soley for her. The form I filled out didn't say "principal immigrant". It only says "immigrant." THANKS! THAT'S VERY HELPFUL. FRANKLY, THIS FORM IS VERY CONFUSING.
  3. Did you list your stepdaughter as the "principal immigrant" in her separate I-864?
  4. My SO came with her daughter with K-1. Now we are married and filing for AOS. Should I check a "filing for immigration of my relative"? My step daughter is 14 years old and has to file a separate I-485. Do I need to send a separate I-864 or a just a copy of the I-864 for my wife? I am sending the two packages together in one envelope. Thanks for your help!
  5. but the airport immigrantion put the admission date as Feb 20. Does anyone know why? What should I put in I-485 as arrival time? Thanks.
  6. Got it. Thank you all so much!!
  7. We are filling I-485 for my fiancee and her daughter and have some question: 1) There are two numbers on the visa: one is called control number and the other is just on the lower right corner in red. Which one is the visa number? 2) On the first page, what should be for the "Current USCIS Status" ? We first put K-1, but later found on page 2, there is "In what status did you last enter?" Apparently K-1 should go there. Thanks!!
  8. I and my fiancee are getting married and she would file for AOS. Does her daughter aged 14 who came with her need to file separately for AOS? Thanks
  9. Tell her it is "nai lao" (cheese). People from southern China in particular tend to have a hard time with diary products. But if she is from Inner Mongolia, she would love it. Nick
  10. The Chinese language document was signed by the ex in the presence of a provincial Notary officer. The officer will then do the translation, notarization and binding of the documents. Also notice that it gives the location of the ex and takes any of those questions off of the interview table when the time comes. Expect your wife to pay for all of the notary fees and have several copies made too. Good Luck!
  11. I have applied for my fiancee and her 14-year-old daughter to come together, but I understand she must present a notarized letter at the time of interview from her ex allowing her daughter to leave the country. Anyone who has done this before can help me - either in Chinese or English. Thanks.
  12. I sent back our P-3 package early this month, but today my fiancee received the package back with a rrequest to fill separate forms for her daughter who is only 14. I thought she did not ned to file separate forms. GUZ also sent a form I-864. I thought I-864 is only for relatives not for fiancees. I gave her I-134. Which one I should use? Can someone help clarify? Thanks.
  13. Wow, that's very lucky and fast. GUZ sent to the wrong address in late Sept. We are asking for resend. Tell me what forms you need to send back in P3. I heard only OF-169 and DS-230, but someone said that you need to send OF-167 too. Is that true. Don't they ask for evidence of financial support only at the time of interview? Nick
  14. But OF-167 is only a notice of financial support. I heard that you need to provide evidence of financial support only at the time of interview. Isn't that right? Nick
  15. Just found that GUZ sent P3 to wrong address and we are asking GUZ to resend. I understand you can actually download the forms online and send them directly without having to wait for the arrival of the resent P3. Can someone who has been through all this confirm that only DS-230 Part I and OF-169 are needed at this stage? Who should our letter and packet addressed to in GUZ? How to make sure they match the case - besides citing the case number? Is a cover letter needed. S hould it be in English or Chinese? Thanks. Nick
