  1. Thank you all for sharing your experiences. Seems to me that it will be okay if the X-rays are not in a sealed envelop (my SO's name is on each of the X-rays). Thanks again for your time and good luck to all who are still going through this complicated process.
  2. My SO just got her Visa and POE instructions which states to the effect that to make sure the SO present the X-Ray with her Visa at POE. But she mistakenly opened the sealed X-Ray envelop the other day. Is this going to be a problem? Should she go back to the hospital and try to get it re-sealed? Thanks
  3. PE = Physical Exam... I think "get PE in Guangzhou" What does this mean?? -James
  4. To the point that the VO may have his/her mind made up before the interview. How important is it to make sure that my SO submit our relationship evidence WITH the sealed medical packet at the Consulate prior to being call to the "window" for the interview? (instead of waiting for the interview and the questions to be asked before supplying evidence) There was only limited relationship evidence in my I-129F filing (no photos, just a phone bill, letter from my SO's parents inviting my parents to China for our engagement party, and a letter from me explaining why there are no photos ) But since my initial filing, I have gathered a lot more evidence, including photos of us with a lot of other relatives taken when my family went to China for our engagement party. I just want to make sure if the VO is going to "prejudge", then we have as much evidence in front of him/her as possible. Any input will be appreciated.
  5. Hi all, I know that K-1s don't need to have the needed Vaccination until AOS. However, many members on this forum suggest having the vaccination taken care of prior to leaving China because it's much cheaper to get the shots, if needed, in China. I remember reading comments that there is a hospital/clinic near the Consulate in Guangzhou where one can obtain the International Vaccination Booklet. (my SO has her vaccination records, so I am thinking all she need is to exchange her records, which is certified by a hospital in her home town, for the yellow booklet.) Does anyone have any information on: 1. What's the name of the hospital/clinic? 2. Where is it? 3. Any experiences/advice/know hows you may have on exchanging your vaccination records for the yellow international vaccination booklet? Thanks in advance for your input.
  6. Will submit a change of address at this stage (received p4 and an interview date) increase the chance of a denial? I seem to remember a post that eluded to that. Since my SO will bring proof of the home purchase (deed and copy of the Settlement Statement showing the 8/1 closing date) to her interview, would it be better to take a chance to see if the VO notices the conflict before mentioned that "oh yea, we bought a house and here is the proof." I am not sure if this approach will piss off the VO and cause a denial because certain "regulation" (e.g. not informing GUZ of the address change) was not followed. Any thoughts? Thanks much! I would say now is the time to do it by faxing GUZ. Otherwise the P4 forms will have an address that conflicts with the one GUZ has.
  7. I have a question on change of address. I moved at the start of August when my SO was waiting for her P3. I put off informing NVC, DOS and Guangzhou of the address change in fear that it may delay/screw up the process. Now my SO has gotten her P4 and an Interview date. And since some of the forms we completed for her interview will have my new address on them, I think this might be the right time to inform someone (e.g. DOS, NVC and/or Guangzhou) about the change of address. Anyone disagree? If I need to inform, who and how should I go about doing that? Thanks much!
