I just got a permanent residence welcome letter, showing my immigration visa was registered. but I realize that my first name's second charactor was shown only as initial(I have first name with two chinese charactor, but in English, should be one word,) and in the address line, the name was shown correct. Is there anybody has the same problem and do i need to tell them, other wise I do not know what my name will be like in the plastic permanent residence card. Thanks.

I got my visa last month, we are employment based, and my husband's name check was done right after I got my visa, so he will get his in the 28th week of this month.

Please note that according to the U.S. Immigration Law, a valid Police Certificate is required before a visa can be issued to the immigrant visa applicant whoever is 16 or over. It makes no difference what category of visa you are applying for. In addition, due to our visa operating regulations, a call-in letter holder gets a visa two days after he/she submits the required document(s). This differs from the visa pick-up letter holders, who can get their visas the same day. A careful review of your husband's file also indicates that his medical report, which is also good for one year, will expire on July 30, 2003. Mr. xxx will be kindly asked to have a medical check conducted again if his visa is to be issued after that day. Your understanding and cooperation will be greatly appreciated! My husband got the same kind of EMS, because his police certificate was expire. and I sent email to Guangzhou, got reply that he will get the visa two days after he submitted the documents. I think the EMS called call-in lettter which means that the visa is not printed out yet until they see the documents, while the "pick up letter" will be "pick up your visa at 11:00am on Mon-Fri" which means the visa was already print out because no documents needed except the passport. so expect to get your visa two days later after you submit the documents.

My husband just got his EMS call-in letter that his case was cleared. he was told his case was put on hold back to February. his interview was done in August last year. I have question about the letter. because As I know somebody get the EMS as following :" Your visa is ready to be picked up on any Mon-Fri 11:00am, please bring your passport and the original notice to come to the consulate.......", But his letter is: "Please come to consulate at 9:00-10:00am on any Mon-Thur to continue the visa process with this call-in letter and the following documents: 1. passport 2. physical exam 3. police certificate 4. 5. " only the new police certificate was checked. I was concerned about " continue the visa process" if he need to be interviewed again. Did anyone get the same kind of notice as my husband's ? I am very cautious after this long and suffering process. Thanks. Thanks.

Hi, Because our visa was delayed for more than one year nowsince our successful interview, when the visa is ready to be picked up, our police certificate will be more than one year old, can anybody tell me if we need to renew it or not? how about the medical exam?

Congratulatios! As I know GZ only will issue visa when both the husband and wife's name check were done. so It looks like yours is an except. Is that because of your sister's medical situation ? Did you ask them to issue visa to your sister and her daughter even if her husband's pending ? I appreciate your help if you can response
