  1. Has anyone been to the Los Angeles Embassy recently for a passport renewal? Is it the same basic procedure as Houston? Thanks,
  2. The P4 appointment letter is here: http://www.candleforlove.com/FAQ/Forms/P4/Let..._applicant1.pdf and states: "ex-spouse's name, date of birth, social security number (if applicable), last known address and telephone number. ---- If anyone has this new form on hand, can you confirm if there is a chinese page to it... I only have the english page. On the website, they still display the older appointment letter. I understand the information needed, but it is indicated "documents containing the following information for your interview: ex-spouse's name, date of birth, social security number (if applicable), last known address and telephone number." What kind of documents are appropriate? What have others done for their SO's ex-spouse? David, thanks again for your feedback! David and Lily
  3. I am having a difficult time getting my SO to understand what is needed for "Proof of residency" for her ex-husband. What type of statement or proof is required/ appropriate. Thanks, David
  4. David, You are the best!! Thanks for your interest in the "process" and the CFL members. What is type of "EX" documentation is recommended? Thanks again for all of your assistance. David
  5. David, You can update my NVC Out to 11/14/2006. Called today and received this good news. Thank you for you extraordinary effort keeping these statisitics. lilysrose2006
  6. NVC update - Called NVC this morning, I-129F sent to Guangzhou on November 14th. YES!!
  7. Wow, I do not quite no what to say! Some of us do not have the pleasure of the speed of the USCIS in Vermont, so we learn how to eat Cheetos, drink beer and wait..... and support each other!
  8. Recieved GUZ # today via e-mail response to my status update inquiry. Progress?!!!
  9. I called NVC today and finally got through after several attempts. All I was able to learn was that our I-129F petition has been recieved by NVC and is under "Administrative review". Not much help, but at least I know there has been some progress.
  10. Thanks for your instant reply! This waiting game is frustrating, but I don't mind picking up the phone and sending e-mail for any information I can get. Thanks again. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...types_1309.html NOTE: If you call them get a live operator, the automated system wont have anything on I-129F cases. If you email them put your USCIS case number, and date of birth of petitioner and beneficiary in the note, they respond in 48 hours, this is how I got our NVC case number. One other note: it can take up to 4 weeks for CSC to send the petition to NVC.
  11. I apologize if this question has been asked before! What is the best way to contact NVC for a status on our I-129F?
  12. On the USCIS website you can schedule an appointment to speak with an Immigration Officer at your local Immigration office, who can check the actual status of your petition and answer any questions about the process. Here is a link to the Infopass scheduler: Infopass
  13. I received this e-mail this morning (A nice surprise!!). Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) Current Status: This case has been approved. On October 16, 2006, an approval notice was mailed On to Step 2 - NVC.
  14. Thanks! That was my understanding from the local Immigration office, but because of his age I was in panic mode. David
  15. My SO's son will be 20 this month so I am HOPING we can have this wrapped up prior to him turning 21. Are there K2 froms that need to be submitted, or as long is he was included on the I-129F petition is that all is required? Thanks so much for you valuable feedback. David
