  1. Hi: I got a request for initial evidence for the I-693 which I only sent in the supplemental form because I thought that they already had the DS-2053 That my wife took in China. Now it seems they want the whole I 693 6 page form.Does this sound correct to those who have experience with this? Also,I sent in a joint sponser form from my mother just to cover all bases, and they are now requesting proof of her citizen ship which I have no idea of where her birth cert. is.Would the best way to handle this be to cancell her as a joint sponser and go on my own merrits (assets). Thanks, Kimo
  2. Congrats Eric: Being in the blue slip blues myself. It is good to hear a positive story. At least you only had to deal with USA to fix your problem. For me it is Brazil and I am finding it quite difficult. But 2 months is very quick indeed. Kimo
  3. so the phrase " you must list all sponsored persons not just you and your family" I know they are speaking to my fiancee so does that mean the sponsor must list there wife, there kids, etc.or is it talking about other I-134 sponsored people? Sorry I just do not quite get the exact meaning of this phrase, I assume it is just part of the I 134 form.
  4. On the green slip I got requesting a co sponser it tells me to submit the 1-134 form it also checks the box that says for the co-sponser to list on the I-864 form all sponserd persons. Not just you and your family members.Does this mean I864 must be sent in as well? Are 2 co-sponsers considered to be better than 1.
  5. Just got a letter from lawyer in Brazil. They said they can get the federal police certificate with power of attorney but that the state certificate requires fingerprints and must be done in person (no POA).They did say we could request one from the brazil embassy in china. So weigh in folks: 1.If I can get the State from the embassy does that mean I can get the fed as well? 2.would getting the fed only be cause for rejection in GZ ? 3.Is there any chance of working with the embassy over the phone or e-maiil, or is a personal trip a must?
  6. Congrats on your success> you give me hope and perspective on dealing with the blue slip I got last week.I now know why they give a blue slip as I have been bluer than blue ever since. When it goes bad it can go really bad. Thanks for the Link I will follow it
  7. Nope, will need to deal with the Brazilian consulate or Embassy, but more than likely will need to work with someone that is in Brazil (Give them power of attorney, so that they can get the required certs in Brazil) Yep, this is the conclusion I have come to as well.Apparently there are 2 kinds of POA one can be done via fed ex the other must be in person, which of course takes us back to the begining of the circle.
  8. I am a bit confused on weather I need a federal police certificate or if I also will need a state certificate in Brazil. The Lawyer I am talking to also does not know this.So far the best price I have found for this in Brazil is 1000$ I am a bit nervous that he wants all money up front. Someday I will use this as a very expensive piece of toilet paper. Some people here have said they think I can get this from the Brazil consulate in China.Does anyone know if this is actually a fact? All my research say's no. Kimo
  9. on the blue slip we received from the GZ office they have both the I-864 and the I-134 checked off for a cosponser, is it common to send in both forms? Also they kept the original I134 at the interview but the instructions on I-864 ask for it do I need to fill out a new one or just assume they have it? Thanks,Kimo
  10. I think you are right about the hard ball, and that it stems a bit from ego. The desk lady took one look at the first page of the tax return, and said your fiancee does not make very much, and Ling asked her to look at the rest of the papers to which she took offense and said I have worked here 10 years and pulled out a blue slip. 1. I am self employed and on paper look like I made very little last year,I thought they were supposed to look at the gross which was 45 grand. 2.Don't they look at assets? What about bank statements? I sent them proof of many.Do I have to choose between assets, and earnings.I saw no place where it asked for accounting statement, I wonder if it would have made a difference in this case.Do you think at this point it would be easier just to have my mother be a co-sponser?hard to believe I have a #9 credit rating and I have to get my mother to co-sign,such an insult. 3.Ling said they gave me a green slip, have you ever heard of this? 4.I actually copied the info you sent me on the police certif. and sent it with her, when she showed it to them they were surprised and took it to the back room and came back saying that this is old information and that now she needs to show proof of trying to get this through e-mail,one lady even told her that she needs to go to Brazil, which is impossible. It feels like they are making the rules up as they go on this one.Hope I can find a way through. Thanks for your help, Kimo
  11. Just got word that My Ling got a blue slip, because she did not have a police certificate from Brazil, and a green slip saying I need a co-sponser even though I sent my complete tax form which is my own business that I submitted a complete tax return and bank accounts totaling over 80 grand. So now what?? Should I hire a lawyer? how long is this likely to take.I was so confident that I bought plane tickets in October.Time to take the champagne off ice.So Sad. Kimo
  12. Hi: Does the 134 aff of support get mailed back in with the p3 or does it get taken in person to the interview? I am flying to meet Ling in October, and thought I would deliver it in person if I beat the interview time, but I know I will not beat the p3 timing. Thanks, Kimo
  13. thanks for great info.I was worried about this police cert. I guess I paid my $ to the vsc not the nvc hey? So from what you are saying I can expect to pay the fee, right? Thanks again
  14. Hello all: Would any one know answers to these questions: 1.My fiancee lived in Brazil for 7 years.Brazil apparently requires one to be there in person in order to obtain a police certificate. She no longer even has a visa to go there.Any ideas on how to proceed???? 2.In Packet 3 they say there is a 131$ charge for the interview, does that apply to K-1 as well? I thought I paid this with my initial cost to NVC? 3.On the 134 aff. of Support I hear talk of having it notorized but see no place on the form that requires this.Is it something to do and if so what am I having notorized?Just that it is true? Thanks much, Kimo
  15. I had to answer Question 11 on 129f as yes.Can anyone clarify what exactly they are asking. When they ask place and date of filing are they asking for the visa service center or where I was living at the time? Then they ask A# and result. What # and result are they asking for? This was 8 years ago and I no longer have the information. Is there any special form I need to download and fill out? Thanks, Kimo
