[AOS interview]

Grace and I had our interview thursday. Approved

Was lucky to have a great new friend an excellent translator join us for our interview. Grace was asked these ?

1) have you ever been involved with prositition?

2) have you ever belonged to a terrorist orgianization?

3) have you ever trafficed illegal drugs?

he asked me how my chinese was and I told him that my chinese was about as good as my wifes english he cracked a smile but if i were to be asked again i would not say that

I presented to him the ESL course program at the local college 5 mi from our house

 

He just ask for proof of us living together. Utility bills in both of our names was all i gave him.

I followed earlier advice from CFL only giving the interviewing officer docs that they asked for.

 

If there is anyone that has to interview in yakama, WA our translator left his card with USCIS.

I want to thank CFL for all the help through out our immigration experence

Ok I will explain this the best i can.

1)we moved to Washington state.

2) Filled out change of address for both wife and self

3)Made copies of all returned change of address froms from USCIS mailed to the field office of the origanal interview

4) Got cancelation notice from Mn

5) recieved new appointment notice to local field office in washington.

6) last week got cancelation notice there as well

Ok what gives ?

I have covered all bases what do I now ????

Our Marriage Cert is in her Maiden name her married name is not listed so I need to make a phone call to the Court where we married

Here is a possible bump in the road,

My wife's passport is in here Maiden Name but all other AOS doc are in her Married name

Our Marriage lic states her Maiden name ??

Any how I was going to have her change her name when she visits family in China but I do not know if this is a good idea.

So my main ? Can her Passport be sent to A chinese Embassy to be changed ? If so where?

I will be moving from Minnesota to Washington 1st of Jan.

1)Should I still get together I-864 form and info even though I have already submitted it with the I-485?

2) what are they Asking for on boxes 4 and 12 (4 = All doc establising your eligibity for lawful resident status.) ( 12= Original and copy of each supporting doc.that was submitted)

To change Address I need to:

1) fill out my part on line with USCIS

2) We fill out an AR11 For SO

Is there an AR11 form on line that can be submitted via e-mail or does this need to be mailed?

where do I send this application being I will be sending EAD along with application will this be an employment based I-485 application if so then do I mail to NSC

seems there are 2 places Chicago or Nebraska

I am in Minnesota and I am filing K-1 AOS

 

And I was reading on the instructions sheet that you can write out 1 check I-485 and biometric total $395 is this correct?.

but looking at the AOS FAQ I notice that everyone is mailing two checks.

So do i mail in 2 checks or just one?

I know to write payable to DOS and I assume that down on the memo line state what it is for is this correct ?

And on the AP application what if at this time we have no date for travel? do we just skip or put in an assumed date?

I will be putting her married name on everything unless it ask for the name on passport then i used her maiden name.

Being we are planning a family i just as soon have the gov and SO use My last name just to make life easier for wife and Kids

So do i fill out all Doc I-485, 131 etc in married name her passport is in her maiden name and the two name do not resemble each other except her married middle name she retained her family name for her middle name

Another question i was reading AOS tip and came across this

( copy of the k-1 visa and NOA2)

What do they mean copy of K-1 visa ?

Is it the visa that is on her Passport ?

I just called the DHS and was told that i need to send with my AOS forms the I-765 which is an application for EAD

1 Is this really required

I hear of poeple just skipping the EAD all together

2 What should be in my AOS packet
