  1. I received an update on the USCIS website but it doesn't say approved but it says the following:

On May 23, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Decision circle and Post Decision Activity circle is gray.

Anybody know what that means? as of today we are still waiting for an interview date.

  2. Thanks for thre responses, you guys are great!!

reason for the PO Box is no one is home all day and my mail box is near the curb so we wanted a secure location for papers with SSA numbers exposed, etc... kinda regret getting it now. I plan on slowly changing all of her addresses and have everything go to the house now and yea we are broke so can't move out even after 2 years....

  3. My wife received an RFE for her Removal of Condition.

    We sent the below initially

    • A copy of my credit card statement showing airline ticket purchase for my wife¡¯s vacation back home and class tuition for her college.

    • 24 pictures of us and our family and friends.

The RFE is asking for the exact samething that was sent.

We are a young couple and don't have enough money to move out so we do not have a lease or a mortgage. My parents is the typical Chinese that is afraid to sign anything related to the government so me making up a lease or rent agreement is out of the question.

We are living at my parents house and do not have a lease or agreements. We are living rent free at my parents.

My wife is a full time student so she is not working at the moment.

The only thing we own together is a car that we bought that I am currently paying off. I am also paying for her insurance.

We have a PO Box and all of my wife's important mail is going there, the only thing we get at my parents house from her is advdertisements like credit card offers, etc..

I am planning to send the what I sent initially and adding tax transcrips for 2011 and some more credit card statements. I paid Bank of America $10.00 to send me a letter about our joint account.

My wife did receive a letter from the SSA at my parents house as well as USCIS letters, should I send those as proof that she lives with me?

Please suggest what else I should include.

  6. Do you know the reason for the white slip? What does the white slip say exactly? Did you goto Guangzhou? Did you attend American Citizen hour? What evidence did your lady bring for the interview? and it's very doubtful that the senator can help you. You need to find out the exact reason for the denial in order to refile, study the issue, understand the issue then have a resolution for the issue.

  7. Well, she was able to get a certificate from her University (employer) stating that she has been single since birth. Now she says that it is very common that you get this information from your employer since they often hold your personal records. I just think from a U.S. standpoint that's a secondary source of information and the civil bureau is primary. Her current Hukou says their records can only go back to 2001 when they converted to electronic. So, I don't know if she has to go back to her hometown or if the University is essentially her Hukou? She did her post-graduate studies there and now works there. She will take that and the civil bureau document (for 2001 to present) and get them both notarized and send in and I guess we will see what happens.

Anyone else do it this way successfully?

Every Chinese family has a family book, you bring this book to this office called Gong Zheng Zhu, this is a notary office, and with the family book, they are able to generate a single certificate, this is how we did it...
