  1. Dear USCONGUZ: I am now in USA on a k3 visa, and I will go back to China to do the IR1 interview. I just found out that I made a mistake when I was filing the P3 package. They asked about the current mailing address to send P4, I put the US mailing address. But I do not think they are going to send P4 to USA, so I have to give them my Chinese address to get P4. I faxed and mailed and e-mailed my Chinese address to Guangzhou, but did not get any response. Then I called DOS,they told me I have to fax to NVC. One thing I wonder how to make it clear to them is that I do want to keep my current mailing address as the US one, but I also want them to know that my P4 mailing address is a Chinese one. Please let me know the most eficient way to get it corrected, and avoid any further confusion or mistake.(since I will need them mail my GC to me, I do not want them to get so confused.) Thank you. Have a nice day. Tina
  2. Hi,everyone Has anyone's wife gone back to China for the CR1 interview? if yes, would you please share the experience with us? Because thinking to get it done quicker, we might choose to go back, since our I-130 has been completed and sent to GUZ about one and half month ago. Thank you very much. Tina
  3. Ok,I tell you the reason why we are worried about the time. Since we have not filed for AOS, we were told by the Seattle officer that it would take at least one year to proccess it,means to get the GC. So we wonder if we could get the interview date after few months, it would be better we just wait for it instead of filing for the AOS. But who knows how long it is going to take to get the P4? Our case has been sent to Guz on Dec. 1st,2005, but still not into the system, so who knows? Do you have better idea? Tina
  4. Hi,everyone Since I am under a name check proccess, so I would like to know better about what it is,and how it is proccessed, and where, who does it,both for K3 and CR1. Anyone knows about it?thanks. Tina
  5. Hi,Dean Thank you very much for sharing the details with us,it is such a great family here where you can find help and feel at home, even if we have never seen each other. Thanks to all of you. Now I am feeling a lot better! Tina
  6. Thank you very much for you info. I am glad that I would not need anything else.So I could go and come back freely. But I wonder why he told me that? Did he not know it? Thanks again. Tina
  7. Hi,everyone I am here on a K3 visa and I have not filed for AOS yet, and I am thinking to go back to China after few months. I am not sure if I need a travel document to leave and come back. According to what I read on USCIS website,it seems I do not need anything but this valid visa.I also called USCIS ,they told me not. But the day we went to Seattle immg. office, and we talked with the officer,he told us I need to file for the I-131 form to get the re-entry permit. I am now so confused, and we are afraid if I do not get one, could I come back again? Anyone has experience with K3,PLEASE give me a correct answer!!! Please help! Thanks a lot! Tina
  8. Thank you for reply. Yes,everything has been completed,we also got the notice from NVC that they have sent the package to GUZ. So we are now waiting for the P4 of the interview date, which would be after the name check and something else, who knows. Tina
  9. Hi,there Thanks to you all for your help and info. Here I got another question, wish someone would help us out with it. Since we were thinking to go back for the CR1 interview,I was wondering if by any bad luck (could be anything related to that day's weather, officer's mood or whatever I could not imagine) we got the blue slip (which I think we should not get), what would I do next ?Could we still be able to come back to USA on the K3/4 visa( which is valid for 2 years) to file the appeal or it would expire after the interview decison? Does anyone know about it?This is mainly my husband's worry,it took so long to bring us here, nobody wants to go through the seperation any more, that is miserable!!So please help!! Thanks a lot. Tina
  10. Hi,everyone Glad to meet you all here, and happy new year to all of you! I and my son came to USA 5 months ago on K3/4 visa, now we are lving in Seattle. we have not filed AOS yet,and few days ago we recieved the notice that NVC has completed the prosess and forward our paperworks to GUZ,which means we are now expecting a interview date(who knows when?),and on the 20th of Jan,it will be our second annivesary. I read on the USCIS website about going back for the interview or file AOS here, but we were confused ,do not know which one is better. And also,on the website it is written "you can wait to file AOS after a visa number is avilable for you"----what that means ?How could I know when there will be a visa number avilable for me? Is it the time when I get the interview date package? If so ,should I wait till I get it?Or should we file now?Or should we go back for the interview? Anyone has experienced it,please share it with us,thanks for your advices and sugguestions. Have a good day! Tina
  11. Hi,there Now I am asking another question in case we will not go back to China for the interview and will need to file AOS. So actually how long it would take from the day you file AOS up to the day you get your interview date? I know it might be diffrent from east to west, and according to what I know and heard, east side is much faster, and we know why. Anyone has gone through it please share your experience with me,thank you.Any suggustion is welcome. Tina
  12. Thanks to all of you I am so glad to get your suggestions, and I think it is very helpful. I think this is just a waiting game, but unfortunately we have waited for too long to deal with it any more. It took about one year and four months to get the k3/4 done, and for the I-130 it is nearly 2 years, and I wonder if I choose to file AOS now, this game will take us another year or more to get it done somewhere. This Jan 20th will be our second annivesary,so I guess if I go for the CR1 interview,I would get the permernent green card,so this way we will be off this game for a while. And I want to say it is both about time and money issue, though I got a one year work permit and also my SSN few days before X-mas.I guess mostly we just want it to be done asap,to get this pain off our back! So if we would get the P4 in a short time,I guess we will choose to fly back option, and then hopefully life will be a lot easier after that.(Then we even do not have to think to remove the condition) Oh,by the way,my son is just 10 years old,and we live in TACOMA,40 mins drive from Seattle, nice place, but always raining now, just like my home town Chengdu,oh,God,I miss food there!!! But thinking about interview back there,it always makes me tense and nervous,as I was interviewed by the black pearl last time for about half an hour and over 20 questions one after another, gosh!!! I do not want to say that she is rude or cold, she should just be doing her job, strictly. But I just wish she could smile a little once in a while to make it easier on both side.Smile is like sunshine, and everybody needs it. So right now I am thinking if it would be as diffifult as last time??? Pray for me,as I do for all of you!!! Thanks again ! Any other advices is always welcome!
  13. Hi,everyone Happy new year! I and my son came to USA on the K3/4 visa 5 months ago,and it took us a lot of time to settle down and get used to it. It has been great experience. Since it is just few months far from our second anniversary,so we decided to wait a little bit to file for the I-485,AOS. And in the mean time our I-130 is going through the process pretty smooth, last month we recieved the notice from NVC that out cases have been completed and forwarded to GUZ,which means we are now at the last step waiting for the CR1 interview date,P4,and it also means in this case we will have to fly back to China for the interview. I do not know how long it will take to finally get the P4,and we were wondering if we should also file I-485 in the meantime, which means another $800 something. To wait or to file? which one is better? According to what I heard and what I read,if at this time we file for the I-845,it would mess up the process of my I-130,and it would take longer for us to get the green card,it is true? Is it unsual that people who are already in USA flying back to get the interview done? Some people out there have done this before or have good suggestions, please help!!! Thanks a lot! Have a great day,and be with your loved one asap!!!
