Worst day to have it on since I want to attend ACH before the interview so I will have to arrive WAY early maybe leave from here April 30 and back March 19 if I can swing it. I'll have to go 5 or 6 days in the hole on vacation time if work allows me to do that as I really want to see our family again before we go. Its been so long since I saw them last. Hope I have enough funds for that too, was planning 2 weeks but now looking like longer. We will see.

    Wish us luck!

    Clearance delay

OK I have a plan but I need everyone¡¯s help to get this package out of clearance delay. If we work together we can do it.

I need 3 midgets, a dozen oysters, a bicycle pump and a roll of dental floss. No questions, just go get the stuff and report back to me.

DON¡¯T BOX THE MIDGETS....that ended badly last time, and no, airmail is not fast enough, the air in the box runs out before delivery¡not that I ever illegally mailed humans before¡

Oh yeah bring a goat too

  3. Dude, your registration email bot thingie is SO SLOW. I have a cool name for the Off Topic I want to propose, and since I saw a Roger, could Goats and Sheepes be far behind. Somehow, I think that this forum would NEVER have a fair Goat Vote, though.

    ;)

    What's sexier Pig's or Goats?

The above was the first words I heard when I walked into my new command few years back. This post just made me think of it.

  4. Returned petitions can take a long time to be returned by Guangzhou, that consulate sometimes sits on them for months.

USCIS tends to close returned K-1 petitions, Guangzhou always interviews WELL outside the expiration date on the I-129F NOA2 letter, so USCIS considers the case to be expired.

Many who get a white slip on a K-1 simply visit China, marry and file an I-130 for a CR-1 visa.

A good place to research this is A Candle for Love. http://candleforlove.com

The Guangzhou consulate emailed to me has a mistake my fiance last name is not ZHANG, and I emailed last night to consulate, and requested they should issue us a visa as soon as possible, there is no reason to wait for our new K-1 to get to Guangzhou from NVC their mistake cause our visa to be denied. I am waiting for their responed.

    What should I do next?

    Thanks!

 Sounds like something is rotten in the hen house, this might actually be good news if they are the ones that messed something up you may get a second chance and a decent opportunity to beat this thing depending on what exactly they messed you.

  5. Well on my second trip I was aware of what I pretty much liked and disliked so the dining experience was better. Maybe it was just me but I prefer the food in Beijing over the food in Baotou.

They put some sort of seasoning on most of the meat in china I find terrible. Once I was able to nail down why the meat tasted like feet I was happy with the food. I found that chicken heart cooked over coals and with only salt is my favorite so far. I look here all the time for it but the best I can do is get a pack of gizzards and hearts, they don't sell just the heart here :D

I am going to bring some of my favorite seasonings with me next trip along with how and when to use them. I'll leave them with the family there. I cooked burritos last time I was there for mom and dad and Ting. I brought the flower wraps with me from the states, turned out to be a smart move.

They LOVED the food I made, said they never saw meat cooked that way before. It's food that brought Ting and I together in the first place, neither one of us were looking for a partner at the time either.

Went on line looking for a dumpling recipe and got me a fianc¨¦ instead. :P ;)

The duck intestine in a brown gravy sauce served with onions I found very good.

There is a dark colored sauce they have in a bowl they serve with duck meat, not sure what it was but I gagged when I tried it. As a rule of thumb I guess when eating the meat there, salt and pepper only and preferably cooked over coals and your golden. But once the cook starts reaching for that brownish spice that makes everything taste like feet, freak the hell out on him till he understands not to put that crap on your meats

Lucky for me I had me Ting to translate for me. ;)

and so says the Navy

    Dang Trees  B)

  7. The response is usually, "No you can't". Myself, I'm not so sure it would cause any problems.

The problem is that you wouldn't find out until your AOS interview. You would be bring a wife into the country, instead of a fiance.

Even so, it's hard for me to believe that that would be "visa fraud"

    Wait 'till she's here.

Ok still allot to learn, what's an AOS interview...no one throw the dunce hat at me, I know I should probably already know the answer to that but I don't

I don't understand once you're approved and the marriage book date is after the approval how it would matter one way or the other.

Humpf! Stupid draconian immigration rules...
