  1. Jin was a truck driver and her father too, telling me about how they have gun battles and drive over the bandits. :Dah:

China, what a place. maybe remind Roger when he was on the Pony express :rotfl:

my cousin used to drive long distance truck between guangxi and guizhou. he would keep some steel stick and dagger with him. and once he have bandit block the way in a rural road with autocycle. He step on the gas and drive over them. and the bandit escape fast. otherwise my cousin will be in trouble he say.

  2. Thanks for the information. Interesting that many perceived this as China-bashing and resorted to point out (similar, past & imagined) U.S. flaws, without even considering the merits of your information. Perhaps if your article was about Mexico, everyone would simply agree and pile on.

I'll also keep my head in the sand...until such time that I once again become violently ill, losing 15 pounds over the course of a week, from something I ate while visiting China.

If you lost 15 pounds over your staying in China, you should have thanked the Chinese healthy food instead of bashing it, for you save tons of bucks in buying leancuisine food of USA. Dont you see 30% of Americans are over 300 ib and 60% of yours are overweight? Just funny when I think of how American food kills people.

    Ops, good point.

  3. Jesse, why not start a blog (thread) that is yours, where we can read your thoughts and experiences of what you go through daily first-hand?

LOL...., It's hard for me to keep my wife's attention for more than a couple minutes.... Seems like it would get pretty boring real fast...

Actually I think this is a good idea Jesse. Toplaw has his running blog about wedded bliss.

I think a lot of us have an unrealistic idea of what living in China would really be like. A day to day posting of real life in China could be usesful.

It is a hard job :D

  4. I think one of the best ways to learn any language is to get involved with the people that speak it. Clubs, groups, or even a job. A short time after my wife arrived in the US, she went around to a few of the local malls. She began talking to the owners of a Chinese curio shop, and found that they were looking for someone to help them at the store. It was a great opportunity for her. It helped her meet American people and talk to them about Chinese items for sale, and gave her a great opportunity to strengthen her language and grammar skills in English.

Grammar is very annoying to me

Then you're in good company. It is for most people in the US. Most American's aren't much good at it either.

Dylan always say that, instead of I learn better english. He learn chingish..maybe wendylish

  9.  :( no body scared this.

you have to trust the pirate in China. they had found the solution. They will make the real Win XP blue screen if mirosoft irritate them <_<

You're right Wendy. There are several reports that a few hackers have found a work-around to the dreaded Microsoft black screen. However, they don't realize that MS is already aware of this and will continually update the denials. This is not a single day event. They will continue to update as hackers work, in much the same way that virus / malware databases are updated.

    :(

I use pirate xp at home  I have the legal real vista though. I don't like it...

  10. yeah that sounds great but, what does the beer taste like?

Tsingtao tastes like a typical German pilsner, as it was founded by German settlers in 1903 in Shandong Province. Those quart bottles are a good complement to Hot Pot. Yum! I miss China!

weve got a hotpot going here, bring the Tsingtao. :drunk:  :eatyum:

    On my way! :plane:

you are welcome anytime Dylan and Wendy. :)

    Thank you!

What happen?? what happen here?? where you take me to?? :o
