  1. Hey, I just have a question about I-693. My wife has a k3 visa and already had her medical exam in china. We went to get her vaccines and then brought the proof of her vaccines and Chinese medical exam booklet to a civil surgeon. She filled out the I-693 but a whole bunch of it is blank. Is this ok to send? I was told that if my wife already had an exam in China she doesn't need a second one here in the USA, but the civil surgeon won't fill out the rest of the form unless another exam is given. The only parts filled out is for the vaccines. Thanks a lot! Shaun
  2. Hey guys! I hope this isn't a stupid question...my wife and I are going for a k3 visa. She had her interview in October and got a blue slip. We sent in the documents they needed and have waited a long time for a reply. Just yesterday she got a letter in the mail that said, your visa application has been approved, we will mail you a letter with call in instructions. My questions are: 1. does this really mean what it sounds like and she has been granted the visa? 2. how long should we expect before we get that next letter? Thanks!
  3. Hi, I know this may be a silly question, but I heard that with the cr1 you have to send the affidavit of support to the nvc. I was told that the NVC approves or denies the affidavit of support and at the actual interview they just check to see if the marriage is real or not but you don't have to worry about the financial side as that part was already approved. Is this true? Either way, why do you need to send the affidavit to the NVC but then have it again at the interview? Thanks, I hope I made sense.
