  1. A quick question: I notice quite a few people here have detailed information at hand - date GZ received P3, date GZ logged it into the computer, date GZ mailed name check data to NVC, etc. Where do we get that detailed info? I asked GZ for the date they logged my SO's P3 in, and received an automated reply "name check not complete". (But I already knew that from my first email.) Thanks in advance. Richard
  2. I'm having trouble understanding the disparity in individual timelines. A number of people who sent in P3's as much as a month after we sent in our P3 documents have already received their P4s. As far as I can tell, there's nothing unusual about our case. But all I can get out of GZ (by email) is "name check is incomplete." Can anyone offer any insights into the differences in individual timelines? Richard
  3. Thanks very much for the nice rundown on the visa interview. This pretty much aligns with other stories I've heard. My SO and I are waiting for her P4/appointment letter. She is very nervous because she speaks very little English. I know it's "luck of the draw" whether she will get a VO who speaks Chinese or not. We've been waiting for the P4 for 4 1/2 months, so hopefully we're on the home stretch. Congratulations to you two! Richard
  4. Hi ... Newbie here (though I'm active on the Asian-American-Couples forum): Current timeline for my SO and I (K-1) is as follows: NVC to P3 = 58 days P3 (sent) = 10/28/2004 (Posted from Shenzhen to GZ) P3 (entered into GZ computer) = unknown P4 = waiting 130 days and counting I queried GZ by email. The reply was two uninformative sentences: Name check isn't complete. When it is, you'll get an interview date. I have seen others here and at AAC receive P4's much more quickly than our timeline. Not sure why the differences exist, but they do. My SO's case isn't especially unique, no children involved, etc. Richard
