Thanks again for your call. That's what I call group efficiency.. We'll pick up your daughter's visa if GZ let us.. I just hope GZ can input those names received quickly so a call to DoS will mean something when a "not cleared " is answered. Right now,that really means " no idea if the names is at GZ " rather than " not cleared for sure " . We'll know more soon.

From CUC Hello Everyone, My fiancee just had her interview (9 December at 8:30AM). She passed the interview and was approved for a visa. However, she did NOT receive a visa. They kept her passport and she was told that it would be approximately two months until it would be returned via China Post with a visa in it. But, the good news is that they DID actually issue fiancee visas this morning (she saw this first hand). She was told by the examiner that those people who have waited the longest would receive their visas first. She did not ask any questions about how many people are ahead of her, how many visas were issued, or any subject not directly related to her individual case.

This is what I sent to GZ. Worst case scenarion, say they no, and I only waisted 5 seconds and an email. Best case scenarion, we save time and a pile of cash. I know a few people would like to do that. Attn: IV unit Several K applicants here in Shanghai ( up to 6 or so ) are waiting to receive their visa letters. When this happens, this is what we would like to do in order to save both time and money for each: Send only one person ( one of the applicants ) to Guangzhou to bring passports and visa letters to the consulate. Wait till the visas are issued and fly back to Shanghai. An "authorization" letter to the person going can also be provided by each applicants if needed Can we do this? This would save a lot. At this point, we would prefer for the passports not to be mailed back, as time is of the essence. Please confirm this would be possible and let us know what would be needed. Thank you.

Instead of collecting those blue thinggies just for the heck of it , which really have no retail value, or even meaning really , can't we, I mean , the administrators just give those based on visa status? A more useful info. I explain: 1 blue square for : Interview scheduled ( I ) 2 blue squares for : Interview passed, waiting for visa (W ) 3 blue squares for : Name check Ok'd, letter received ( N ) 4 blue squares for : Visa actually in passport ( V ) Blue thinggies could easily be updated for everyone by either emailing the site with status, or better yet..For a few days, just put a code letter at the end of the nickname when you post, so they know without going through emails i.e Eric&Yuhui/ W See?
