  1. I typed my overcome statements and had them notarized. Since my fiancee got the call-in letter saying her visa is approved (she is going to Guangzhou in a few days), typed statements were acceptable, at least in our case.
  2. Autumn, that is great news...and only two months in AP blue!!!! I'm truly happy for your success. Now, for those of us that did not know how to play the game. Would you please share with us just what you did in those two months? I'd really like to get educated. tsap seui Thanks everybody. Tsap Seui, I'm counting myself in the group who did not know how to play the game. I thought that was the reason we got blue slip. As I said, I was just following the advice I got here after we went in ap. I sent in overcome materials in batches. Whenever I thought something might be helpful, I sent it in. I know that people say just give them what they ask for and no more. I felt that I I did not know exactly what they were looking for. Relationship was so broad. It was impossible to include everything in the statement. Once again, it may not have helped at all. It made me feel better though because I felt that I was doing something.
  3. First the good news. My fiancee received a call-in letter with the first option checked. It says "Congratulations. Your visa is approved." She is going back to GUZ and hopefully she will get her visa. We have been in the scary "administrative processing" for the past two months. We were very worried. Our case shows that ap can end up in pink. It's time for us to thank everyone here. We've received great support and advice on this forum. I followed the advice of not sitting there doing nothing. Instead, I kept sending things to GUZ, materials that I thought may help our case. I don't know if it made a difference in the final outcome, but every time I mailed out something, I felt better. I found it hard to deal with the sense of helplessness when I just sat there waiting. My thoughts are with those who are waiting to hear about the decision about their case in ap. I agree with some members that blue ap could be worse than a white, if the decision is denial in the end. I really wish the process can be changed in the future. Final thought: I got to know some fine people here. I especially feel sad for those whose applications were denied not because they faked their case but because they did not know how to play the game. Too bad.
  4. We agree. AP= a chance to overcome, use it. AR= not so good prepare very carefully, good luck I'm confused again. I thought AR is the stage following AP. Doesn't AR mean the case is at the stage of being reviewed?
  5. Thanks everybody for your support and advice. You really make me feel better. I'll follow your suggestion and stay involved. I really whish the process could be more transparent.
  6. I'm really sorry to hear that. In blue sheet it says that if you don't hear anything in three months, you can contact them. I thought they will respond then. Do they usually do?
  7. That made me feel a little better. Does that mean that at DOS, when the computer shows the term "administrative processing," it may just indicate that the case waits to be reviewed. Because that was what the girl at DOS told me over the phone. I'm afraid though that she is not familiar with the system at guz. I asked her if her screen showed the initial "AP" or the spelt out words "administrative processing," she said it was the latter. I emailed guz. It seems that the chance of their responding to it is very low though.
  8. She has not received anything yet. I called DOS and was told it is in AP. Is there any information about the percentage of APs walking off with pink? How much hope is there left? Hang in there buddy. It could work out for you guys. If she got a blue slip that asked for additional info, and she sent in the requested info then they may be in a "process" mode. With AP...additional processing and with AR...additional review, GUZ can flip you in and out of those two scary headings as they work your case. A little clue for ya...the DOS operators often interchange the words additional processing and additional review. Most of the operators will look at GUZ's files and the file may say...AR, yet the operator tells you AP. You have to politely ask the operator if the wording is AP on the computer, as most of the operators don't know the difference between the two, and most operators think they are the same thing. Good luck to you. At least she was asked for something, and she sent it in. That is good. Try e-mailing GUZ using their e-mail form on her blue card and look at what status THEY say the case is in. tsap seui So AP stands for "additional process" not "administrative process?" This is all too confusing. I'll try to email guz. Thanks for the suggestion.
  9. She has not received anything yet. I called DOS and was told it is in AP. Is there any information about the percentage of APs walking off with pink? How much hope is there left? we will need to know the reason for the original blue slip and how you addressed it. As for a % of sucessful overcome of AP I dont think there is one. Again same for time it will take some resolve quickly others not. We are k-1. Blue slip asked me to provide additional information about the timeline of my divorce and how we met, details of my visits to China. I sent that information to GUZ. All the information was available at the interview, but my fiancee did not get a chance to show it. When is AP status given, at the time of the interview when blue slip is handed out or after GUZ gets the additional materials and reviews them?
  10. She has not received anything yet. I called DOS and was told it is in AP. Is there any information about the percentage of APs walking off with pink? How much hope is there left?
  11. Thanks. I hope somebody can answer my questions. How bad is AP?
  12. My fiancee's interview was in early August and she got a blue slip. We submitted the additional documents since then. I called DOS last week, and was told that her application is now in administrative process. I first thought every blue slip goes through it. Is that the case? Not knowing what it is, I did a a search on the topic on this forum and my heart started sinking. From what I read, not many people came out of it with pink slips. Is it true? Should I start to panic or despair? It seems also that it usually takes more than three months or even a year before there is a result. How many people got a result in less than three months? Thanks for information. I'd like to be well informed before I talk to her.
