  1. Us too, interviewed 13 Aug (same day as Owen) resubmit on 4 Jan (for umptyuummpphhed time).
  2. I concur with Owen...after seeing recent message from DOS, lets everyone hold off on personal contact with DOS/GZ until at least two weeks have gone by.
  3. O.K. Owen I'm ready to join the fight...aikido style that is...
  4. Owen, your time will come...and soon I hope.
  5. As I reported in other thread, GZ sent me an e-meil today stating that name check has been resubmitted in our case.
  6. I received an e-meil from GZ this a.m. stating name check has been re-submitted per my request of two weeks ago.
  7. Speaking briefly of chess...how many of you have learned Wei Chi or as the Japanese say "GO." As a war game, in my humble opinion, it can't be beat. Some say you can learn all that is important in life at the GO board.
  8. Hey folks: those of you that haven't read Jon's and Phil's stories in the "Our Stories" section of this web site should check them out...most impressive what folks go through in the name of love.
  9. Owen: I tried to talk Kiki into getting out and learning Tai Chi, but she said only for "old" folks...she prefers running, especially since its cold over there (from what I hear). Aikido-Ron
  10. Anyone contacting Harty should use her proper title: Ambassador Harty.
  11. You are not alone Larry, I called this p.m. and Greg said no news yet.
  12. Global 7 network announced that the CNN Aaron Brown interview with those affected by the visa delay situation will air tomorrow night (Friday) unless pre-empted by breaking news.
  13. Been reading your Sun Tzu have you? "...If your own power of insight is strong, the state of affairs of everything will be visable to you...- Miyamoto Musashi.
  14. Re: Letter... go for it. (Replied to Victoria separately)
  15. Call 202 663-1291. You will go directly into waiting queue.
  16. DISASTER IN MEXICO A big earthquake with the strength of 8.1 on the Richter scale has hit Mexico. 150,000 Mexicans have died and over a million are injured. The country is totally ruined and the government doesn't know where to start with providing help to rebuild. The rest of the world is in shock. Canada is sending troopers to help the Mexican army control the riots. The European community is sending food and money. The United States of America is sending 150,000 replacement Mexicans.
  17. One of the solutions is obvious, but perhaps its makes to much sense. Have Guangzhou pass out the cleared names and packets to the closest U.S. consulate...we have several and they all have a visa section. I know that Guangzhou is the only one to handle immigration visas, but these visas have already been approved (interviews) so utilize the resources at the other consulates to get the visas passed out.
  18. I called this a.m. and got Greg...he said still pending...he laughed and said that two days ago he got one who interviewed on 11 Aug cleared, the next day he had one who interviewed on 12 Aug clear, so maybe tomorrow we will get good news (interviewed on Aug 13).
