Welcome back, Mike. You are right about the hair thing. I got a web cam so my sweetie could see my hair change gradually while we wait - so she will still recogonize me as an old man when she finally gets here.

Missing paper work!! could be another 3 months!!! or it could be just bring something in when you come to get the visa???????? god I hate this!!!

I got off the phone with DOS just now. I was told “GZ sent out EMS today because they need some paper work from Ying”. DOS does not know what kind of paper work they need. What do you think? I was told the clearance was sent back to GZ on Feb. 14th. Ying’s police cert and marriage do not expire until next month.
1. Do you think they have approved the visa and just need her to bring some more paper work with her when she comes to get the visa?
2. The visa is not approved and she has to mail in some paper work?
3. We are totally screwed and will have to wait forever due to missing paper work?
I don’t think they would send EMS if they just need some more paper work?

Hello everyone,
I will be leaving this Sunday to Taiwan, China and Japan for 3 weeks. It is going to be a very busy business trip so I will not have much time to read the postings therefore this is what I want when I return back to the states:

The delays are not screwups. They are on purpose. The visa delays began about the
same time the FBI visited Guangzhou. This looks like a conspiracy in the Federal
Government against us.

so sorry to hear it Hope it is not a terrism.
So far the news is saying it is not terrism. The space shuttle is the most complex machine in the world. I have worked on parts for the shuttle and you just can not belive how complex it really is.

I have no qualms about a national ID either. And the banking protection you speak of sounds like a good idea as well. What I don't like is data banks of visa applicants and the Federal intrusion into the lives of folks. And this my friend is where all this is headed if we don't draw the line somewhere.
Next thing you know, they'll be putting those chips in our bodies and hooking us up to Global Tracking Satellites.....

Hum...DOS told me GZ sent EMS to Ying about some paperwork...could be the same thing? Maybe the case is cleared but have to bring in a new cert. or something like that. I should know late tonight
So don't worry yet.....
