That's strange they won't give you a specific answer. They have always given me a specific answer when I asked. "No, we haven't received your mail" - this went on for a month "Your case is still processing. Check with us at a later date" - this went on for another 3 months. "Yes, your visa is approved."

I doubt it. I'm 13 years older than my wife.

Yea, I heard some friends here have the samiliar issues with DOS too, crazy... I am wondering how could they give out different information since they all work in DOS and share the same data... Someone mentioned some employee have different level of access to information...not sure if that's true or not. -

DOS is messed up. I called them about 4 weeks ago because I received a reply back from GUZ stating that a Call-in Letter was sent out to my wife. I called DOS to see if they knew what this "Call-in Letter" was about and DOS said, "Your case is still under Administrative Processing." I emailed GUZ again when they were open and GUZ said, "Visa was approved." DOS seems to give you a different answer, depending on who picks up your call. -
When we received the blue slip, GUZ asked for a "Evolution of Relationship" letter. I went on a 14 pages rant about their screwed up process and the emotional strain they put on people because their process is screwed up. I wrote an evolution of relationship letter and gave it to my wife to bring along for the interview. And guess what? They never asked to see it!!! And when we received our blue slip on visa pickup, that was the damn letter they requested us to provide. They had opportunity to ask for these documents during the interview, but never once asked my wife for it. Then they take another 4 months to read my letter? It's unbelieveable the crap they can put people through and not have any consequences. The entire process is crap. They treat us as if we're all criminals.

Yea, you're being feed bull crap by China Postal and by GUZ. 1.) My wife went to pick up her Visa on Saturday both time. 2.) Why do they need to verified your email to response to you? I email GUZ all the time and I have used 4 different email address and they never once told me they won't response because they can't verify. Try DOS to see if they have anything on their computer? I would keep emailing them everyday. That's silly that they wouldn't even give a status.

Mr YANG and the VISA mailing process?
homersimpsons replied to freedream's topic in Interview Results
I don't think they that cruel! It's possible they might have misplaced the mail. If they were to give you another blue or worse, I think you have it another already by now. Our pink turned into a blue within 2 days in June! GUZ will usually response within 1 or 2 days of email. Have you try calling DOS? I never had good experience with DOS since their information lags. -

Yes, you can pick up on Saturday. We went to pick up in June and ended up with a blue. My wife just went 2 Saturday ago and picked up her visa. She turned the call in letter in on Wednesday and was able to pick up on Saturday. Something is wrong if nothing is happening for 10 days. There has been time when the machine broke down and it has taken over 2 weeks, but I haven't heard of that problem recently and your husband and my wife went to turn in the call-in letter at the same time. Can't he or you call or email GUZ to see what the hold up is? 10 days is too long -
Waiting for visa to arrive post office

My wife went to turn in the Call-In Letter on Wednesday. She stayed there in GUZ and picked up at China Postal on Saturday. -
yea, it costed me $1k to get shot for Hep A and Hep B. What a rip off. They have to do a checkup first so that's why it was $1k for the shot. Thank god for insurance.

nice! it's good to hear some good news. -
It's better to wait...we got a pink during the interview and made plane reservation(but we didn't buy). When we went to pick up the Visa, we ended up with a blue slip. My wife is going to pick up her visa next week...but we won't celebrate till she actually has the visa, we learned from the last disappointment
