This is a bit of a gray area in the CFL guidelines.

Cultural sensitivity, diversity and acceptance of all people are fundamental principles of Candle. Any racist or stereotypical statements are strictly forbidden.

 

Differences of opinion and debate are supported. However, no personal attacks or attacks on any race, gender, or religion will be tolerated.

 

We encourage diversity and frown on flaming anyone. That could be interpreted as meaning gay people too. Personally I have no problem with gay people. Some of you feel it is an affront to your religion. I would encourage all of you to refrain from flaming any group of people.

I posted this article today because it related to China and where our loved ones are from. I also posted a funny to add levity to my post here. Of course this was deleted.

You think Homophobia is a bad thing? You are a health care professional. Please tell us about all the health issues that go along with homosexuality.

Lets talk history for a minute. What about the British Empire that dealt in salvery for profit in the new world with our fellow man so Britain could build their colonies? Of course if they where not British at the time they where considered a lesser people by the Crown. Destroyed India's economy so Britain could gain control of the worlds textile trade and then subugated India's population and Queen Victoria could be named Empress of India. The Boer war that was started in 1899 and again Britain could profit off the gold they stole from the Dutch. Please not let us forget how Britain made tremendous profits in the forced opium trade in China that nearly destroyed China and paved the way for Mao to enjoy more then a 1/4 of a century of tryanny.
