rickmeister
First off I would like to say that I think you all have a great community here. I've found many of the things on this site very useful. I have a question concerning the [cough] asinine [cough] law prohibiting communist party members from getting an immigrant visa. My wife, who just recently graduated from university, is a yubei dangyuan (Ô¤±¸µ³Ô±). She applied for this during her freshman year, and officially became a yubei dangyuan last fall. She paid some dues and went to a bunch of meetings, but she never took the next step to official party member. Does anyone know if this counts as being a party member? Will we have to put this on her form (I can't remember what the form is now) later on down the line? By the way, we're in the middle of preparing our application right now. What a stressful process! dnoblett
I would be careful there, not sure if they will make a distinction between the two. Honesty with the Visa Officer is the most important, if they catch in a lie then bigger problems can happen. Link to comment
